3 games to play in circle
It is good to sometime play quiet games in circle, especially after running around a lot or during those hot summer days when the heat is unbearable. Here is 3 fun games to play in circle.
This is a quick game for 8 players and more. Everyone is sitting in circle with their eyes closed and the game leader chooses two players as the “detective” and the “killer” (for a non-violent theme, the killer could be anything from a lazy cat to a gentle fairy that puts people to sleep).
The goal of the “killer” is to kill other players with a wink. When a player receive a wink, that player must then fall on it’s back and remain there for the rest of the game. The detective who doesn’t know who the “killer” is has 1 to 3 chances (depending on the group size) to name the player he or she thinks is the killer and has to name someone after a player fall on it’s back.
If a “killer” is unlucky enough to wink at the detective on it’s first wink, the detective knows who it is and the game is over. For smaller group, you could have the detective be known by everyone so the game doesn’t end with the first wink.
You can have players fall on their back with a dramatic affect like old western movies for added fun and laughter.
Here is another quick game for roughly 8 players and more. Everyone is sitting in circle and the game leader chooses someone that will go outside the circle and close his or her eyes. The game leader then chooses a “maestro” that will start a gesture (clap in hands, tap on head, wave hands, etc…) Everyone must then follow the Maestro’s gesture and continue to follow his gestures as he will changes them.
The person who was out of the circle then comes back in the middle of the circle and has to figure out who the maestro is (1-3 chances depending on your group size)
Tip: Have players look other players other than the Maestro when waiting for the next change of gesture to avoid the Maestro to be spotted to easily.
Yet another quick game for roughly 8 players and more. Everyone is sitting in circle holding hands and must keep holding hands for the duration of the game.
The game leader chooses someone that will go outside the circle and close his or her eyes and also chooses the player who will start the “shock. The chosen player initiate the shock by squeezing the hand of one of the player sitting beside him or her. That player repeats the process and the shock then goes around.
The shock can change direction if a player gives it back tho the player who has just given it.
The person who was out of the circle then comes back in the middle of the circle and has to figure out where the shock is (1-3 chances depending on your group size). The player must say stop and then point the last player who he or she thinks has received the “shock”
Tip: When playing with younger player, make sure no one gives a shock other that the player who really has it.
